Italian ‘Inkheart’ article translation fun
I found that Google does a pretty job of translating the IVG article that DeeDee posted earlier.
From what I can tell, it says that there are 1000 locals as extras in the film, a portion of which provided the background for the scene where Fenoglio first meets Dustfinger in real life, who is portrayed by Paul. And it mentions that there are already 250 film crew in Balestrino, with lots of equipment, busily transforming the place into Capricorn’s village.
Also, Italian website Fantasy Magazine has an article on Inkheart as well. When you run that one through Google’s translator, it mentions that “Paul Bettany is learning to make the mangiafuoco in order to recite the part of Dustfinger”. ‘Mangiafuoco’ is the Italian word for ‘fire eater’.
Again, if you know Italian and can help translate, please let us know!
