Oh, yeah… You’re Jennifer Connelly.
Monday, July 27th, 2009This is a cute article about Paul and Jennifer.
This is a cute article about Paul and Jennifer.
I woke up to find another email from Nancy with tons of links to Comic-Con goodies. So I’m just going to copy and paste what she sent me! Thanks for digging all this up, Nancy.
Daemonsmovies has new pictures of the panel and TrailerAddict has two short interview videos (one with Paul and one with Scott Stewart) at Comic Con, as well as a short vid of the panel and B-roll of the Legion and District 9 panel. ScreenCrave also has a vid of an interview with Paul and Doug Jones, I can’t seem to view the video, but it’s probably this computer. I don’t know if this vid is also on TrailerAddict, but I’m including this link just to be sure. I also noticed that IMDb has a couple of new pics of the panel. MovieWeb has other vids out, FearNet has an interview with Paul and Adrienne Palicki and io9 has an interview about the tattoos and what they mean with Paul.
Lots of goodies waiting for me when I woke up this morning.
First, we already have a poster for Priest. And Paul says, “Our vampires are really grisly. Stakes don’t quite do the trick.”
Next, there’s Empire’s report on Legion at Comic-Con. I think this one’s the best summary I’ve read so far.
io9 has Legion set pictures, including close-ups of Paul’s tattoos.
Check the gallery for more pictures from the panel. And thanks to Nancy for sending me the links to most of the info in this post!
Shock Till You Drop – This one reports that Paul is signed on for 2 sequels.
Entertainment Weekly – A select quote:
Much of the panel was dominated by co-star Tyrese Gibson, who playfully gibed Bettany about his amply displayed physique. “The most exciting thing for me was a chance to see Paul Bettany’s muscles,” Gibson said. “I think all of Albuquerque ran out of baby oil. I think Johnson & Johnson was one of the sponsors of the film.”
Click here to read a report from the Sony panel at Comic-Con. Excerpts:
4:08 Just saw the footage for Legion, who the hell saw that one coming! Really intense, weird (in an awesome way), and looks great!
4:13 Bettany says he got tricked into the film because it was a small romantic comedy… He’s been looking to break out, not be a bad guy, and do something hardcore. The Director said after the first time he got to shoot a gun he said, “I was in the Royal Shakespeare company but this is why I wanted to be an actor!”
That’s our Paul.
It was also announced that Priest starts filming on August 24.
From Baz Bamigboye’s Daily Mail column:
For his screen portrait of Charles Darwin, Paul Bettany changed the way he walks – like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
‘It was the key to finding him,’ Bettany told me of his role in Jon Amiel’s film Creation, which opens the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Bettany conveys a man consumed by a desire to explain evolution, although the orang-utan playing Jenny, the primate Darwin studied, is pretty good too.
This really made my day
The poster for Legion has been put up at Comic-Con and Sony has also unveiled the official website for the film! There isn’t much on the website yet, but we might see some promotional images or a trailer from the Comic-Con preview on Friday.
According to ComingSoon.net, Russell Crowe is in “early talks” to work on a Master and Commander sequel! The script has already been written and is based on book 11 of the series, Reverse of the Medal. Cross your fingers and toes, everyone!
Exciting news: Creation is the film that will open the Toronto International Film Festival, which begins on September 10. The TIFF has become more and more prestigious in recent years as a showcase for Oscar contenders, so this is great news indeed!
Paul and the other stars of Legion will be appearing at Comic-Con on Friday 24th July to promote the film. I hope this means we’ll get to see a trailer soon!
