Welcome to PaulBettany.net, a tribute to one of the most talented actors working today. From the violent cruelty of Young Gangster, to the playful humor and charisma of Geoffrey Chaucer, to the subtlety and gentleness of Stephen Maturin, to the torment of Silas the monk, Paul Bettany has given one perfect performance after another. If you admire him as much as we do, you've come to the right place! This is an unofficial site run by and for fans. Please direct news, comments, and questions to DeeDee.

carnival

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

The only one of Paul’s movies not available to buy in any format or region is Every Woman Knows a Secret, the three-part TV drama that aired in 1999. At berkpanda’s suggestion, PB.net is encouraging everyone to send an email to the production company, Carnival, at info@carnival-films.co.uk. In the past, companies have been known to produce DVDs when fans expressed an interest, so we’re going to try to make this happen! If you don’t feel like composing an email, just copy and send the one provided below. If you help us with this little project, please comment and let us know!

    To whom it may concern:

As a big fan of Paul Bettany, I’m wondering if Carnival ever plans to release the TV drama “Every Woman Knows a Secret” on DVD and/or VHS. To my knowledge, there is no way to buy it in any format, and it’s a piece of Mr. Bettany’s work that I would really like to watch and own.

Any information you can send me about this would be very much appreciated!

    Sincerely,
    ——

callsheet

Wow, I have more to post. :D

The Firewall call sheet I bought on Ebay a few weeks ago finally came in today. It’s from May 19, and involves Paul and two other cast members shooting some scene with a pizza van at a rest stop. The bottom of the sheet notes “8 Shopping Days Till Paul Bettany’s Birthday.” You can see the scans in the gallery here.

Hey, Scots! Edinburgh’s Rosslyn Chapel will be closed 26-29 September for The Da Vinci Code. Might be a chance to see Paul, though I don’t think Silas is in that scene. Anyone remember?
