David Yates (the tentative director for the very tentative Brideshead Revisited with -tentatively – Paul and Jennifer) has confirmed that he will direct Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Any thoughts on how this will affect the likelihood of Brideshead being filmed? What about increasing the possibility of Paul being offered a role in HP5?

Well, here’s an interesting bit of news. Variety reported today that David Yates, the proposed director for the still very tentative Brideshead Revisited, has been chosen to direct the fifth Harry Potter movie, Order of the Phoenix. All the websites reporting the news release make it sound fairly certain that Paul and Jennifer will be in it (Brideshead, that is, not OotP. sorry for the confusion!) – but we’ve seen how “definite” news turns into nothing. Still, my fingers (and toes!) are crossed.

Universal has issued its official press release for the Wimbledon DVD, including details about promotions and contests.

In a short article titled ‘Red Hot Revolution’, about the rise of redheads, Paul gets a mention: “And A-lister Paul bettany – a freckly strawberry blond – is married to Jennifer Connelly, one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women.” …damned by faint praise or what!
